19th Annual National Night Out – Tuesday, August 5, 2014
Here’s a note from Century Farms President Fran Bixler:
Celebrate CF National Night Out with all of our friends and neighbors on Tuesday, August 5th at our park at approx. 6 pm. The city will provide an array of service vehicles for children to see. In the past, the city has been generous to include the electric bucket truck (cherry picker) for rides, paddy wagons and police cars, fire trucks and ambulances. Kids of all ages, from babies to grandparents, have enjoyed this night. So turn on your exterior lights, lock your doors and meet us by the Gazebo at 6:00 pm. The city services will arrive as they become available between 6 and 9, in the past city council members have shown up, so get your Naperville questions and pet peeves ready for questions and answers.  J

Neighborhoods throughout Naperville will join communities nationwide and participate in the City’s 19th annual National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 5 from 6 to 9 p.m. National Night Out is commonly called “America’s Night Out Against Crime.†This nationwide event is designed to heighten drug prevention and crime awareness, generate support and participation in local anti-crime efforts, and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police community partnerships. Neighbors uniting send a message to criminals letting them know that their neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. Last year, more than 30 Naperville neighborhoods participated.Â

Thank you Twila Hughes and Ric McManigal for putting this together.

See you there,
